Take On Me by a-ha Small Ensemble - Digital Sheet Music

“Take On Me”

Unlike my arrangement of “Take On Me” for seven recorders and backing track, which is also available here, I have scaled this version down to four recorders (ATGB) and drums. The song works just as well without the complete band backing track! It is important, however, that the drum part is played. If a drum kit is used, all four recorders should be amplified with microphones, as the drums would otherwise be too loud. Alternatively, an electronic drum kit can be used, as its volume is adjustable. The part can also be adapted to a cajón, which I always find sounds very good. A backing track with drums is also included for rehearsal purposes.A tip for the tenor recorder. Bars 43–46 can be played easily with the following fingering: Db 12 / C 123 / B 1234 / Bb 12345. Don’t blow too hard, then it works!I always arrange faithfully to the original. The notes are correct and in D major, as opposed to the original key (A major). Enjoy this arrangement of ‘Take On Me’!Groovin’ Recorders – Ralf Bienioschek
