"Sunrise" is an intermediate level piece for Big Band. It could be used, as each part enters in one by one or two by two, as a way to introduce the band with the conductor or an announcer calling out names as the piece progresses e.g. "On Alto Saxophone..." Being of an intermediate standard it would be perfect for a secondary school concert but this uplifting and cheery piece isn’t just limited to this one type of performance and could be played close to anywhere.
