Grim (A0.939373).Stardust Inferno is a soca written for a steel band with the following instrumentation: Lead (Low C), Double Tenor, Double Seconds, Cello, Bass, and Drum Set. The motives found in this were written on a lead pan first, and then added variations and a solo section. The bass voices have a time to shine with their own melody, the double tenor and double seconds add harmony, and the drum set has group hits written in, rather than having a repeated pattern with slash notation on top. This was a fun piece to write, and is one of my favorites in my works for pan!
