I conduct a home school band consisting now of 8 students. I can't usually play traditional band music because of my lack of instrumentation. I love this little collection. With three parts, I can usually cover everything with the players I have. It is not a terrible thing to leave off the bottom line either. With the pno/conductor score, I have the option of accompanying them, either as a group or smaller ensemble. I can order whatever book I need for the instruments I have, and the price is so reasonable, that my band parents don't mind at all buying a book that is useful for a long time. This year I bought volume 2 for my advanced players. That collection has songs of more difficulty, to give them a challenge.
