Composed by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina. Arranged by Jeff McKeehan and Jeff McKeehan. Easter,Renaissance,Sacred. 43 pages. Jeff McKeehan #2857265. Published by Jeff McKeehan (A0.930849).

A  perfect addition to the brass choir repertoire.
The work, originally composed for Pope Gregory, was traditionally performed at  Palm Sunday Mass, but is a joy to hear any time of the year.
Duration: 8'40", using the provided tempo markings.
The conductor may wish to take slower tempos, following the tradition of vocal  performances of this work. In that case, a duration of 10-11 minutes is  typical.
An excellent demonstration of counterpoint and harmony, Stabat Mater is  an enduring classic.
