The 4th volume of piano sonatas by Jan Ladislav Dusik consists of sonatas no. 24 - 29. All of these are works of the last period of composer's life, namely after the year 1800. The greatest work among them is Sonata in F sharp minor op.61 Elegie harmonique which was composed as a tombeau commemorating composer's friend who died on the 10th of October 1806 in one of the Napoleonean battles at Saafeld.
