This is a classroom ensemble arrangement of Smooth, intended for use with GCSE students, or possibly a more advanced KS3 class. It is flexible enough to cater for most instrumental and vocal combinations and also has plenty of Latin percussion in as well. There are two possible endings, the first of which omits the improvised solo section.

Many teaching points can be explored here, including Latin rhythms, piano montuno, improvisation (there is a section which can open for solos near the end), solo breaks, use of horn section etc. Ideal for covering the traditional music element of GCSE courses practically.
