This is an original work written for standard Wind Quintet (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Horn and Bassoon). It is designed as a concert or recital opener or closer, at about advanced intermediate level.  A convincing performance should be achievable from players at ABRSM grade 6/7 and above, with slightly less demands on the Horn part at about ABRSM grade 5.   Like all good ensemble pieces, everyone has plenty to do and there is a nice balance with doses of energy, drama and pathos.
