The trumpet part on the the score is transposed and not in the same key as the piano part. That works fine if you're dealing with a younger, or more inexperienced trumpet player who doesn't know how to transpose his own instrument to concert pitch, but it is tougher for the accompanist who needs to play the part for the soloist in the correct key. That griping aside, this is an easy arrangement designed to make the soloist sound good. There is some good switching between soloist and accompanist with the melody and the soloist at times plays a more supporting role to the melody in the accompaniment. It's a good instruction piece to teach young soloists that playing with an accompanist is a team effort.
