Composed by Franz Xaver Gruber. Arranged by Abigail L. Johnson. Christian,Christmas,Concert,Contemporary,Sacred. Score. 6 pages. Abigail L. Cook #3259345. Published by Abigail L. Cook (A0.864869).This Silent Night piano arrangement begins in 6/8 time with the right hand playing one phrase of Silent Night and echoing this phrase in a different octave. Later, the time signature changes to 4/4, and the melodies of both Silent Night and Angels We Have Heard on High alternate back and forth while accompanied by broken chords. This arrangement is 6 pages in length (approx. 2:50 minutes in duration), and it is perfect for both recital and church performances throughout the Christmas season. Abigail L. Johnson is a piano teacher in Pennsylvania, and she enjoys arranging Christmas carols in her own unique style to give them a fresh sound. 2017 Holiday Contest Entry.
