Published by John Ivor Holland (A0.1320621).Alternative title: 流星群 (Ryuseigun, Meteor Shower) Not much is known about this fantastic piece, apart from the fact that it has been used in the Yamaha Electone syllabus in Japan since the early 1980s and was potentially composed whilst Toshiko Shimomura was a teenager. The dynamic melody and wonderful harmonies indicate a real talent and this may have been Shimomura's only song, as further investigation into later works has come to nothing. This would be perfect in a concert featuring music about space and is sure to be popular with audiences of all ages.
