Probably written in 1786-87 for the Jacquin family, possibly with words by Gottfried von Jacquin, the Notturni were most likely written with Keyboard accompaniment although nothing survives. However we do have an accompaniment in Mozart's hand for 2 Clarinets and Basset Horn (or 3 Basset Horns).
