Sacré-Cœur Soufflé - Saxophone Trio by Satoshi Yagisawa Woodwind Trio - Sheet Music

By Satoshi Yagisawa

I would like to create a trio that is enjoyed by various fields of music including music education settings and professional performance. This statement by my good friend and renowned saxophonist Makoto Asari inspired me to compose this work. Paris is home to many renowned artists. There is a large hill called Montmartre and it is known for the white domed Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur at its summit. From there, you can experience refreshing breezes and a fine view. When I visited Montmartre, I felt a magnificent feeling like no other, causing me to imagine what the great composers felt when they also visited the place. I composed this work to reflect this feeling and the remarkable scenery. Montmartre is also the location of the famous reed company Vandoren. Perhaps, this place is a must for all saxophone lovers.
