Engaging & Enjoyable Starer Collection!
I absolutely love playing through Robert Starer's 'Sketches in Color.' The seven pieces are so evocative, especially 'Shades of Blue' and 'Purple.' As an adult learner, I found the intermediate difficulty level perfectly achievable for a weekend player. Each piece feels like a mini-journey, and the blend of melodic and sometimes 'funky' sections makes them incredibly engaging and rewarding to learn. Pure enjoyment at the piano!

Excellent Repertoire for Intermediate Students
Robert Starer's 'Sketches in Color' is a fantastic collection for my intermediate piano students. The seven pieces, like 'Bright Orange' and 'Pink,' offer wonderful opportunities for developing musicality and exploring different moods. The engraving is clear, making it easy to read, and the varied rhythms and textures are excellent for teaching nuanced expression. Highly recommended for school and community usage.

Bright!
I have played Bright Orange, which I loved, and Pink, and Shades of Blue. I love the funky rhythms, the combination of melodic and dissonant sections, and the level is intermediate, so lots of people can pick it up and enjoy it straight away.
