    Eclectic and Interesting

    This is a great introduction to Renaissance music. This is also used as an audition book for the London (England) Conservatory of Music and once you start playing the songs, you'll realize why. At first glance, they seem simple, but when you look at the timing and actual speed, the song becomes far more challenging to play. I would highly recommend this to experienced players if you want a pleasant change of pace. Beginners, of course, can attempt all the pieces but might find it too difficult due to all the time signature changes, music ornaments, and speed. They are great songs and a joy to play, and there's a nice mix of softer and sprightly pieces.
