From the Department of Don't Do This comes this Steely Dan classic from their first album in 1972. Here's what Rolling Stone said about it in a 2009 retrospective, according to Wikipedia: "A prime early example of what would become the Dan's trademark vibe, marrying a sardonic kiss-off to an ex to a bouncy shuffle groove, and adding on some white-hot guitar dazzlement." That last part makes it a challenge for translation into brass quintet, and possibly a challenge for those who will attempt to play it.I've seen this tune arranged in 4/4 and in 12/8.
