The song was written by Evangelos Papathanassiou and Boris Bergman on the motives of Pachelbel's Canon. It became a major hit across Europe.
A live version by ex-Aphrodite's Child vocalist Demis Roussos was included on his 1987 album The Story of Demis Roussos.
