Composed by Sergei Rachmaninoff. Arranged by James Strange. Contemporary,Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards. Score. 12 pages. Penny Music Co. #427735. Published by Penny Music Co. (A0.896935).

Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943) was a Russian composer and pianist of the late romantic era. He wrote symphonies, concertos for piano and orchestra, solo piano works (including Prelude in C# minor), choral works, operas, and chamber music. Keeping true to the harmonies, texture and timbre of the original piano composition, this magical piece has been arranged to be performed on bass guitar. The contrasting passages of this arrangement include the forceful opening utilising double stopping and open strings, with the introduction of a thumb and hammer-on technique in the delicate and spritely middle section.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
