A polyphonic elaboration (version D) of "Vom Himmel hoch, da komm ich her" ("From Heaven Above to Earth I Come"), a sweet chorale extracted from the part 23 of the famous Christmas Oratorio (BWV 248), here in an arrangement for twelve Wind Instruments (Piccolo, Flute, two Oboes, two Clarinets in Bb, Bassoon, Contrabassoon, two French Horns in F, Trumpet in Bb, Trombone) in which the phrasing follows the syllabation of the German lyrics, while dynamics are an interpretation of mine; in this version the original Bach's Chorale has been projected on consecutive major ninths.SCORE and PARTS.
