My arrangement for string quartet is in the original key of F, and as the piece progresses, each of the players has a mix of tune, echo and countermelody so there is variety for everyone, audience included!
The music is provided in parts (with no page turns) and a full score - the sample you might see before purchase is laid out to show you as much as possible...
My arrangement stays in the lower positions where there is a wonderful poignancy in the blended sound that makes a performance of this piece sure to "hit the spot" with the audience.
The dynamic markings show the players who has the tune at each point, but the music has an overall shape and flow that also needs to come through, with the swells and pauses becoming intuitive and synchronised as the piece is played.
