Making music together in small concert halls is a familiar part of the lives of those who dedicate themselves to the recorder. When this activity becomes a profession, it indicates that the participants understand that the recorder is a wonderful musical instrument for two reasons: the individual sonority of each instrument can be distinguished easily, and, moreover, it blends perfectly with that of the other instruments of the recorder family. To the philosophers of Ancient Greece, the simple equated to ''speaking of the truth''. Many people think of the recorder as a simple musical instrument. For us, what is simple is the capacity to glimpse reality without any distortion. Moreover, this process does not refer to anything uncomplicated or natural, but to what is laborious and inventive. This simplicity is present not only in the sonority of our instruments and in the precise capacity of being able to produce it, but also in the work which we have chosen for our third album: The Art of Fugue, in which Johann Sebastian Bach raises the fugue to its highest artistic level by means of his creative and economical treatment of themes.
