This anthem of joy and celebration provides two text options commonly sung to the popular hymn tune HYFRYDOL: "Praise the Lord! Ye Heavens, Adore Him" and "Love Divine, All Loves Excelling." A bright, flowing piano accompaniment surrounds the texts while optional handbells add a festive sparkle during the anthem's introduction and interludes. In the concluding stanza, a stirring vocal and/or instrumental descant, along with optional organ and handbells, combine together to accompany choir and optional congregation. This culmination of ensemble brings the hymn to a glorious peak before choir and piano close the anthem with a meditative "Amen." Hymn studies related to both hymn texts are available on the Chorister Guild website.
