As the second work of the series, it evokes the early historical roots of the present-day city of Casilda and its surrounding region. The area was gradually populated by immigrants arriving from different parts of the world, especially Italy — like the composer’s great-grandparents — as well as settlers from Spain. Among them was Carlos Casado, the city’s founder.

The title refers to the historic roadside inns (“postas”) along the Royal Road that crossed the region, connecting Buenos Aires to Peru, when this land served as a vital stop for travel, rest, and cultural exchange.
