Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1 was composed by Edward Elgar in 1901. It was dedicated to his friend Alfred E.Rodewald and the members of the Liverpool Orchestral Society. This arrangement is an excerpt of the Trio, which is also known as "Land of Hope and Glory".
The flexible instrumentation arrangement enables a mixture of instruments, from small ensemble to full orchestra. For instruments of Part 2 and 3, the range is within one octave, which makes the music suitable for junior players who played the instrument for around 1 year. Essential fingerings and bowings are provided in the string parts.
