Good book-don't judge it by its cover.
The songs are pretty passe, but your kid will like it.

Songs out dated
Kids today just don't know these songs unfortunately. I play the pieces for them and they simply aren't interested.

All of my beginner students love this book!
I have been using the older Faber Playtime books since I started teaching piano. Most of the songs in this book are familiar to students of all ages. The pieces are in middle C position which makes it easier and more fun to play them all. I also recommend the green Pre-time favorites (primer), and the blue Playtime popular (level 1) also by Faber. I hope they never stop making these books!
