Pickles and Peppers Rag by Adeline Shepard (1906) set for clarinet choir by John Gibson. (Eb, Bb clarinet 1-3, Alto - with an alternate 4th Bb part, Bass, Contrabass or Contra Alto). Adeline's ragtime piece became one of the most popular published sheet music of the time and was even used as a theme song in William Jennings Bryan's presidential campaign in 1908. Bryan lost the election, but Adeline's sheet music sold two million copies! The rhythms are a bit difficult, but they are natural sounding and become second nature as you play them.
