Piano Quartet is based on the peculiar sound of the augmented triad and a push for rhythmic vitality. The piece begins quiet, but intense and quickly escalates. The middle section take a break and explores the eerie nature of augmented triads which leads into the piano feature. The piece then accelerates into a driving finale rhythmically and dynamically with a break for piano cadenza.
