This Christmas Pastorale is a setting of two Provençal carols: “Venez, Bergers” and “Un Flambeau, Jeanette, Isabelle”, both of which date from around the 16th century. The two themes are first presented seperately and then combined to form a unique texture. The three percussion insturments may be placed in different positions in order to underline the conterpoint between the three parts. This item is the complete set of woodwind parts (pic22EH2 Eb3AclBscl Asx1-2 Tsx Bsx). The full score and the complete brass and percussion parts are available as two seperate items. The individual parts are also available as single items. Instrumentation : Piccolo Flute I and II Oboe I and II English Horn Bassoon 1 and II Eb clarinet Bb clarinet I, II and III Alto Clarinet Bass Clarinet Alto Saxophone I and II Tenor Saxophone Baritone Saxophone Bb Cornet I, II and III F Horn I - IV Trombone I, II and III Baritone I and II Tuba Timpani Percussion 1: snare drum Percussion II: triangle, tambour de Provence (or large tom) Percussion III: tambour de Basque (tambourine).
