Perfect for Reformation, this dark and brooding organ work is based on the hymn "Built on the Rock, the Church Doth Stand", based on the hymn tune "Kirken Den Er Et Gammelt Hus", which is also called "Lindeman". Beginning with a darker modal treatment, the piece ends with a toccata style section in triumphant fashion, and the melody is clearly stated throughout. The work was composed for a two manual instrument and will give you the chance to feature the full, dark sounds of your instrument.
