The arrangement is harmonically rich and gives the performer the opportunity for a wide range of musical expression through the use of a rubato tempo. This is a beautiful piece for a cocktail hour, dinner party or recital, and will be appreciated by all who enjoy the original.
The arrangement should be played very rubato with a lot of expression. The player should slow down and speed up as he/she feels is appropriate. This one is different than some of the jazz piano arrangements I have heard, but it flows wonderfully. The intro hints at the melody while having a kind of sweet sound.
