With a bright piano, or one with a heavy touch, this piece may not sound great. The repeated notes in the left hand can be tricky without the right instrument. If you are able to play it, make sure to shape it independently of the right hand melody, which has a mostly constant volume level in the A section (measures 1-16).
Note that in measure 16, the left hand pattern changes.
Don't feel as though you must count from measure 34 to the end. You can use a lack of pulse to make your audience feel more emotionally attached to your playing. Just make sure that the moving parts of the main theme are still recognizable.
