Composed by James Michael Stevens. Arranged by James Michael Stevens. 20th Century,Contemporary,Easter,Sacred,Standards. Score. 3 pages. James M Stevens Music ASCAP #423659. Published by James M Stevens Music ASCAP (A0.571775).

Written on September 16, 2015, this is an original piano composition inspired by the Orpheus and Eurydice myth. This one of the most tragic stories of all time and one that many musicians relate to. This is written in E minor, is slow and very introspective, and filled with minor pentatonic and open 4ths and 5ths. Appropriate for the advancing intermediate student and opportunity to show great musicality and restraint. James Michael Stevens is a prolific composer residing in Nashville, TN where he serves as the Music Department Chairman of Welch College. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdqrXJbwjss
