Composed by Jules Massenet. Arranged by Jinwon Kim. Concert,Romantic Period,Wedding. 18 pages. ArrangeMe #6497667. Published by ArrangeMe (A0.1035853).

"Oiseau des Bois" (Birds of the Forest) is the second song from Jules Massenet's song cycle for vocal quartet called "Chansons des Bois d’Amaranthe" (Songs from the Amaranth Woods).  This arrangement captures the light and playful character of the original and translates it for the medium of string instruments.  It can be performed with little rehearsal by intermediate players and is sight-readable to advanced performers.  It is a great encore piece for school ensembles and is perfect as a light and fun number in a gig book for professional quartets.  The arrangement works equally well for string orchestras and quartets, as the bass part is entirely optional.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
