This lively rendition of the popular carol (set to the Forest Green melody) is sure to get feet tapping. The tune is simplified and syncopated, starting with a first soprano melody over SAA doo's in the first verse before the first altos take over in the second. A "Hope of Israel" theme takes over the interludes and weaves through various parts throughout the piece, culminating in a first soprano descant in the final verse over second soprano melody. *Second Altos hit low E's throughout. Great for show choirs and acapella women's groups looking for an upbeat, fresh take on an old classic. Vocal percussion encouraged!
