Published by Jani van der Watt (A0.1051007).Since I made an arrangement of Nearer My God To Thee for a string quartet, I thought it would be useful to make one for our music trio. This string ensemble consists of two violins (of which the first violin plays the beautiful melody), and a cello that plays the backing chords while harmonizing with the second violin from time to time. Note that it is important to play the staccato when indicated to give the performance a variety in texture! Do not only use the dynamics as guidance but trust your own musicality.
