This is the third of the six Milan string quartets, here arranged for woodwind quintet. The three movements, Presto, Adagio and Tempo di Menuetto, are well contrasted. While clearly influenced by Joseph Haydn, there are many signs of Mozart's originality too. The set of parts includes a choice of both A and Bb clarinet parts. Players of Intermediate standard and above will enjoy the lively outer movements and the challenge of the exquisite Adagio.
