"Modal Duets for the Study of Intonation with Drones" is a collection of twelve modal duets designed to be performed with a drone to aid the development of intonation in a musical setting. These duets seek to combine the rigor of practicing intonation with a drone and the reality, the musical demands and human element, of ensemble performance. This allows intonation to be studied in a way that is both precise and closer to the reality of how it will be applied in real world musical performance. It is hoped that these duets will allow performers to gain greater confidence in their intonation across a wide range of musical settings.
