The work became one of Brazil's greatest romantic anthems, immortalized by major names in MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) and also adapted into the film of the same name released in 1971. The song also inspired the 1971 film "Minha Namorada," directed and written by Zelito Viana and Armando Costa, starring Fernanda Montenegro.
