The theme of this medley is about striving to make a relationship work but ultimately breaking up. The songs and their lyrics refer to crystal raindrops, beauty, shining sun, rainbows, thinking (of a loved one), two of us, making it if we try, you and I, fire in the heart, seeing someone crystal clear, leaving with every piece (of someone), underestimating, scars of love, almost having it all, being breathless, could have had it all, had a heart, throwing your soul, counting blessings, turning sorrow into gold, reaping what a person sows.
This heartfelt and emotional arrangement is written for two solos with SATB background through most of the song. During the last chorus, the high voices are divided into three parts. This arrangement also includes an instrumental break with heavy percussion. This arrangement is designed for high school or college show choir, concert choir or community choir.
