Composed by Rubinus. Arranged by James Grush. Classical. Recorder Ensemble. 9 pages. JGJG Sheet Music LLC #3436315. Published by JGJG Sheet Music LLC (A0.831395).

This four-part dance from the Glogauer Liederbuch (c. 1480) is entitled "Der Pawir Schwantcz" and is attributed to Rubinus. This arrangement for SATB recorders is adapted from a facsimile of the manuscript. There is an interesting transition from duple meter to triple wherein the four players change meter is succession! This lively instrumental piece is not too difficult.

Conductor’s score and four parts are easy to read. This example of late medieval music is a good choice for small ensemble performances and recorder society workshops.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
