I was pleased to learn these pieces as I'm self taught, taking up piano during the pandemic. Follow the order of difficulty, listed after the table of contents, not the page order in which they are printed. The increase in difficulty was slower than my progress (from method books), so by the end of the sequence I was just whizzing through them: they didn't challenge me anymore. That said I found this a good supplement.

I am on the fence comparing this to collections by Snell, Rollins and need more pages to view than the half song shown

I have used this series of books for many years and it has never failed to spark the interest of even the most intractable student! Even those who battle at practice time will love being able to play an actual 'classical' piece. I work primarily with the Alfred's or Noona methods and from book 1 of Noona or Level 1B of Alfred's, (Basic or Premier) the youngest of students can begin these lovely pieces. I also use the Technical Studies books and the Practice & Performance books with these. Even the students who kick and scream at technic, will do what it takes to play these pieces. They LOVE them, and as a teacher of 35+ years, I love hearing my students get excited about the wonderful solid music in these books! Thanks, Alfred's Publications! You never fail us!
