Marcello Cagnacci è stato molto prolifico soprattutto nel settore della musica per collegi maschili e femminili, ma ha scritto anche musica per pianoforte e musica sacra ed è stato per diversi anni direttore della Cappella Musicale della Santissima Annunziata a Firenze, negli anni in cui da questa chiesa veniva trasmessa la messa radiofonicamente in tutto il mondo.
A song by the Italian composer Marcello Cagnacci, who in the years 1920-1960 has written a lot of music mainly to be performed by students in their boarding schools. In this case a "stornellata" in the Florentine style, explaining Florence and its beauty, dedicated in its autograph edition to don Leonello Bartoletti, in 1970 main priest in S.Lorenzo basilica.
