An arrangement for wind quintet (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and horn) based on the famous canon by Johann Pachelbel. This version does not strictly follow the original’s canonic structure (hence the title of this arrangement), but does keep the basic harmony and uses counterpoint by both composer and arranger. The ground bass over which the music is built is distributed amongst the different instruments to maintain interest. This piece would work well as background music for any occasion. The set comprises full score and parts. Difficulty level : Intermediate/Advanced.
