PERFORMANCE SUGGESTIONS
Though not written in the score, I encourage the pianist to use the damper pedal to bolster the harmony and create the pensive quality that piano ballads have, as well as to feel free to add your own interpretation to the solos.
As for the vocal part, both males and females can sing it. The singing should feel easy, but not lacking sentiment when words or harmonies call for it, especially the funereal ending.
A typical performance should last 7-8 minutes.
