Liquid Spirit SSAA - Digital Sheet Music
An arrangement of Liquid Spirit by Gregory Porter for SSAA voices and rhythm section. This arrangement is heavily inspired by Porter’s original recording, with the horn arrangement by Kamau Kenyatta. It is recommended for the singers to listen to that recording in order to understand the style and approach, before learning their parts. The instrumentation can be easily adapted; either by bass vocalists singing the acoustic bass line, or adding piano, drums, percussion etc. There should be clapping or snapping on 2 & 4 throughout, play around with what works for the ensemble and arc of the performance. Eighth notes/quavers are very slightly swung, but not to the extent a triplet swing. Most of all, let go and have fun!
