De traditionele Mexicaanse 'mariachi' muziek is een feestelijke en uitbundige muziek die heel aanstekelijk werkt. Eén van die traditionele thema's is La Bamba dat door diverse zangers, o.m. door Trini Lopez, werd opgenomen en aldus heel populair werd. Je kon je in de zestiger en zeventiger jaren geen dansfeest indenken zonder deze, soms meermaals herhaalde, uitbundige 'kusjesdans'.

The traditional Mexican 'mariachi' music is a festive and exuberant type of music that puts you in a good mood. One of those traditional themes is La Bamba which has been sung and recorded by several singers, such as Trini Lopez, and consequently became very famous. In the sixties and seventies you could hardly imagine a party or ball without this endlessly repeated 'Bamba', a round dance with opportunity to kiss the ladies.

La musique traditionnelle mexicaine des 'mariachis' est une musique de fête très exubérante et la bonne humeur de ces mélodies est très contagieuse. L'un de ces thèmes traditionnels est La Bamba qui a été chantée, enregistrée et rendue populaire par plusieurs chanteurs dont Trini Lopez. Dans les années soixante et soixante-dix il était réellement difficile de s'imaginer un bal ou une soirée dansante sans l'inévitable et souvent interminable 'Bamba' faisant fonction de 'danse du tapis'.

Die traditionelle mexikanische 'mariachi' Musik ist eine festliche und überschwängliche Musik, die auf sehr ansteckende Weise wirkt. Eines der traditionellen Themen ist 'La Bamba', das von verschiedenen Sängern, von Trini Lopez u.a., aufgenommen und dadurch sehr populär wurde.Man konnte sich in den sechziger und siebziger Jahren kein Tanzfest vorstellen, ohne diesen sich mehrmals wiederholenden, überschwänglichen 'Küsschentanz'.
