Piękna pieśń patriotyczna autorstwa Krystyny Krahelskiej, pseudonim „Danuta”. Jej słowa powstały w Puławach, w 1941 roku, podczas pobytu poetki w tym mieście. Melodię zapożyczono z utworu ludowego. Szybko zdobyła popularność, jak i inne utwory tej autorki, śpiewano ją w Warszawie, a także oddziałach partyzanckich na Lubelszczyźnie, w Nowogródzkiem, Świętokrzyskiem i Krakowskiem. Funkcjonowało kilka różnych wersji utworu, podobnie jak i tytułów, np. „Kujawiaczek konspiracyjny”. Po 1945 roku opublikowano utwór w zbiorze „Pieśni polskie”.
