James Cook University March Concert Band - Digital Sheet Music
This is a Grade 3 alternative composition to be used for graduation ceremony processionals, although it would be suitable for use as a concert piece. It was inspired by my need to hear something other than Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance. I approached the Vice Chancellar of James Cook University with the proposal of an alternative processional piece. She agreed and I intially scored it for the 1RAR band stationed at Laverack Barracks in Townsville. I have rescored it for Concert Band. It features a brass chorale intro followed by a band fanfare and then the processional starts. It would be suitable for an intermediate level band.
