Flute Duet Flute - Digital Download

SKU: A0.1425405

Composed by JOHANN JOACHIM QUANTZ (1697 - 1763). Arranged by Pat Spence. Baroque,Chamber,Classical,Contest,Festival. Score. 32 pages. Piper Publications #1006227. Published by Piper Publications (A0.1425405).

This is the fifth of six Duettos composed by Quantz to play with his pupil King Frederick the Great of Prussia. The three movements, Allegro, Mesto and Allegro di molto are all through composed (i.e. no repeated sections) clearly showing the change in style from Baroque to early classical and, incidentally, the king's musical progress as a flute player. The Duetto will be enjoyed by equal players of intermediate standard and above.
