The key has been adjusted and some of the articulation and dynamics have been coordinated to make performance of this old folk song practical by students. There are two separate cello parts required throughout, and divided violin parts for the second half of the work. Some position work is required, but mostly for ease of execution and vibrato, not for extension of range. A rehearsal piano part is included.
